2014 was...

Something I am ready to move on from.

Plenty of good days, tons of them.
Yet looking back all I can see are the lost days, the countless hours spent working.

Unfortunately 2015 is offering the same allure of hours, if not more, away from the house. My goal is to have a very set schedule, well as set as a toddler will allow. Although there seems to be a silver lining, the first few months are going to be quite busy.

Aside from my beautiful LittleMiss as a very good distraction, there is a gentleman who has caught my attention. haha I say gentleman, and mean it. He has been nothing but polite thus far. Even asking about LittleMiss. We have agreed that we will not be putting any pressures or expectation on anything, as he is only guaranteed to be in Arkansas for the next six months.

I'm staying optimistic about 2015, I even set a few goals {can't do resolutions, I tend to rebel against them}.

::2015 Goals::

  • Gym/Yoga 3-5times a week
  • Start Charity
  • Bible Study 5-7times a week
  • XXXX profit from my boutique
  • Keep my house consistently clean
  • Become an almost Minimalist
  • Potty train LittleMiss
  • Write to LittleMiss 3-4times a week
  • Completely Paleo//Glutenfree
  • Start making Almond milk
  • Start canning/making fermented foods
  • Paint once a month
  • 3.0GPA
  • Teach LittleMiss colors/shapes/alphabet
  • Relearn French
  • Blog post 3-5times a week
  • Refill my savings

hahaha That doesn't seem like too much does it? ;)

Other than that, my New Years Eve was brought in decently enough. Left work about 1145pm and had some laughs with the fantastic friends who were watching LittleMiss. Once she woke up, the fun really started: toddler dancing is the best ever.

As all working parents know, there really isn't anything better to get me through my day or my shift as seeing/receiving photos of my baby.

{14months}

Where oh where has my little babe gone?

She's grown to big for her summer-time clothes.

She understands big words and (mostly) follows direction.
Favorite Foods: Apple.
Most enjoyed past-time: Walking.

But doing baby-version of sprinting is really fun as well. Oh and one of my many proud mommy moments: LittleMiss is now giving high-fives.

She occasionally understands her colors.

And her vocabulary is growing so quickly.

It's been an interesting month, learning new forms of self-expression, meeting new family members, learning new boundaries. Lets not forget the new personality quirks.
Walking around, pretending to talk on the phone.
Sharing, or at least acting like she is going to share...then taking the food away before mommy gets a real bite...
Cleaning.

It's been so amazing watching my little doll grow into a walking-talking-thinking toddler.

And I am so full of love for her.

A quick New Years Recap

I love glitter.
I love sparkles.
& I really wish that my New Years had had more of it. Well any of it really! Hopefully next year will have some shine {and a few holidays in between}. Either way I really did have fun New Years Eve!

Okay, I didn't look that good at the end of night but that is how I looked at midnight.
This beautiful gal was able to land us tickets to the Crystal Bridges night of fun. Besides some tasty food, a {great} pear cocktail, and what could have been lots of free drinks, there were not many people. More older than younger actually. And it was very awkward when grannies started grinding. Not to mention my feet were killing me from my high heels. We went down to get our coats, ran across some fun items for the Crystal Bridge attendees.

See that? It's not part of a car, a UFO or a flash light. It is a fun lighted barrette Miss Barr and I made.
Look close you can barely see the outline of her smiling face. We ran home just before eleven, I threw on jeans and favorite sweater {pictured above}and some tenni-shoes. Let me tell you, the shoes were a beautiful choice!! Then we quickly headed to Dickson, where I saw so many fantastic people I hadn't seen for a year.
The two guys on the right were my favorite strangers that night, I never said a word and only gazed upon them for a meager 10minutes. Why were they my favorite? Because of the beards, the hair, and the casual confidence.
The night was really fun, tons of laughter.

Ohmygosh did I miss this kid New Years Night!
I ended up staying awake 24hours. Once Miss Barr and I got home at 4AM, I crashed into bed only to wake up at 10AM, missing LittleMiss like crazy. I laid in bed a few moments trying to decide if I wanted to actually get dressed or throw on a pair of shorts. The shorts won out. It was fantastic to see her smile as I walked in the door.

Day One

A few days ago I watched the movie "mirror, mirror". Love it.

It's funny, a bit corny, and still reminds you of the snow white you grew up with.

I watched a bit more of it tonight while I rocked my flamingo robe and knee high domokin socks. Love both of those items. I wish I had some flamingo knee highs now...

Anyways Peacock and I had a...fight...diss agreement...bickering...argument. I'll be completely honest: 1. It was mostly my fault. 2. I have no real idea where we stand.

I miss him. That I know for sure.

We haven't talked all day. (hence "day one"). I can only imagine what's going through his head and he can only imagine what's going through mine. If you read this peacock, I'll be honest the first thing is food. The rest is a bunch of analytical rubbish. And a bit of missing you.

I know I'm not perfect no matter how hard I try. I never will be. But I have a dog who sheds like crazy, rams me with his cone when I make him wear it and loves me. I at least want to be the person he thinks I am everyday.

I don't know where I will be in a the next few years, hopefully Oliver will still be around. To be frank California has been crossing my mind again. I'm not entirely sure though. Whenever peacock and I were together I didn't miss California as much. No where near as much honestly. He brought the feeling of home to Arkansas.

It's getting late, I have to wake up early. And I drank my sleepy time tea. So I apologize for my ramblings. Although I do highly suggest everyone watch mirror mirror. :)

Sweet dreams.
