Pooping.

I really did try to think of another way to title this post. Going the direct route seemed to be the best! Plus I'm sure it will catch your attention. ;)  This is a post for pregnancy and after birth. (another bit of research I've done)

Most pregnant ladies have this problem. I won't lie I've had a day or two where I can't say I've gone. Being constipated can be very uncomfortable and unhealthy. A great way of fighting constipation is to stay hydrated. As well as eat a healthy diet with lots of fiber!

Yummy foods with lots of fiber are:

  • Apples                                   *Kiwi
  • Bananas                                 *Pear
  • Avocado                                *Carrots
  • Cantaloupe                            *Corn
  • Grapefruit                              *Peas
  • Oranges                                *Sweet Potatoes/Baked Potatoes
  • Mango                                  *Green beans
  • Blackberries                         *Kale
  • Spinach                                *Artichoke
  • Tomato                                *Prunes/Prune Juice
The list goes on, but these are just a few of my favorites!

Another way to help your digestive system is, like previous stated, to stay hydrated. Both by drinking a lot of water and caffeine free tea (they make teas for expecting moms that are delicious.) It's important especially after baby to NOT be constipated, if you birth naturally or cesarean. When you push out it too hard can re-tear and give you hemorrhoids.

Drinking just a little bit of organic prune juice a day can work as a natural stool softener. Taking laxatives and stool softeners will help greatly!
